For anyone interested in learning about the Bible or anyone wishing to get back into reading the Bible. We explore both the Old and New Testament together over a cup of tea or coffee. Next meeting: Thursday 14th June at 7:30pm in the Benedicta Whistler Centre. Please join us if you can.

As a part of Mothers' Union awareness week. Mothers Union members are holding a tea party in the Benedicta Whistler Centre on Saturday 16th June from 2.30 - 4.30 for babies and toddlers and young children who are a part of Busy Bees, St Mary's Nursery, St Mary's Sunday School, all children recently baptised as well as Church member's children. Primarily for under 10's we are proposing a sing and sign session, a tea party and a puppet show. A simple craft (Battle rocks painting has been suggested) games and dancing may also be offered! RSVP to Vikki Cook

Helpers Required!

Jill Edmondson would be pleased to hear from anyone who would be willing to join the rota for serving refreshments between the Sunday services, especially during the summer holiday times when the usual providers are away.

In view of increased numbers of non-drivers, we urgently need more volunteers to give lifts to St Mary's for the 9.30 am service on Sundays. If you think you might be able to help regularly once or twice a month, or just occasionally when others are away, do please contact David Ormrod.

As you will see, St Mary's is almost opposite Battle Abbey and has it's own car park.  The Church of the Ascension (Telham) can be found by taking Lower Lake (A2100) going south which continues into Hastings Road.  After approximately two miles, The Church of the Ascension will be found on the left before you reach Hastings Golf and Country Club.

(SatNav users can plug in TN33 0AN for St Mary's and TN33 0SH for Church of the Ascension)

Would you or someone you know, like to learn to ring?

Most people can learn to ring Church bells. You do not need to be strong, super-fit, mathematical or musical to learn. We have ringers with an age range from 14 up to and over retirement. We are blessed with plenty of good ringers here, which will help you to learn the more complicated skills much quicker, but we are always looking for new recruits.

If you are not from the area, we can put you in contact with your local tower, who will be only too pleased to teach you.

Once you have learnt to ring, you will be welcomed at almost any tower throughout the country on their practice night. The exception being some London towers, where it can be by invitation only!

If you would like to find out more come along on a Tuesday evening or telephone Alan Turner on 870770 for more information.

Ian McLeod is part of our active music group and plays the drums and guitar. He also writes worship songs, some of which are published on Youtube.

NEW Silent Night

NEW Jesus is here

NEW Do you believe

NEW At this time of year

Christmas Comes

The Light of the World

The Star up in the Sky

I put my trust in you

In the Night

Love of the Lord

It's not complicated

Oh God of miracles

Nothing I do

How could I repay

There is a song

The stone's been rolled away

If you gave your life
