Christmas Tree Festival 2018 Featured

We would request a minimum voluntary donation of £5 to enter a tree which will go towards the Charities we will be supporting which are: The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team and Battle Health Pathway. The theme will be Favourite Book or Poem and following on from a suggestion we have decided to add a fun quiz for children to do whilst they are looking at the trees on display. Each tree will be given a letter to hide on their tree, the letter should be viewable without the need to touch any of the decorations, children then write down the letter and once completed reads out a message. Public voting for your favourite trees is back by popular demand too! Trees should be no larger than 5ft and any lights used will have to be battery operated.

The Church will be open for the Festival from 11am to 6pm on Saturday 24th November with a Christmas Fair and again from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday 25th November. The results of the voting will be announced at the usual Advent Carol Service at 6pm on Sunday 2nd December. All are warmly invited to this service.

We aim to open the church some afternoons during the following two weeks for further viewing of the trees. The Festival will end on Friday 7th December and we would ask for all trees to be removed by midday please. Trees will need to be set up on the afternoon of Thursday 22nd (1-5pm) or the morning of Friday the 23rd November (9-12noon) (2pm – 5pm)

If you would like to participate in this popular yearly event please complete the enclosed form and return it by the 30 October.

Let us pray that together through this much-valued event we shall be able to contribute in a special way to our 2018 Christmas celebrations in Battle.
